Ooowie! This was a HOT one. And I nearly missed it. Tickets sold out in 9 seconds or something crazy like that and I initially didn’t get one. But at the last second a couple spots opened up and I jumped on the chance! Phew. It was so much fun. The models were awesome, the group leaders were so helpful, it was great to meet new people and just take lovely pictures with no pressure. Loved it!

socal shootout: behind the scenes
Here are a couple shots showing what goes on behind the scenes at these ShootOuts.
It’s like wedding photography paparazzi!! So you can see, it gets a little competitive to get the shot you want. There are lots of elbows and other people’s flashes that wind up in a good chunk of your photos. But that makes it fun and challenging and forces you to think outside the box. Plus you get tons of experience in a short amount of time and meet a whole bunch of great people. I was lucky to get tickets to this last event, because they sold out in two minutes. So they are definitely gaining popularity. Hope to be lucky enough to attend many more.
